The Longleaf Ecology and Forestry Society (LEAFS) is a non-profit tax-exempt organization founded in 1993.
The Longleaf Ecology and Forestry Society (LEAFS) is a non-profit tax-exemp land trust founded for the purpose of demonstrating and promoting the use of longleaf pine. The primary objective of LEAFS is environmental education, and for this purpose, LEAFS maintains two 100 acre demonstration tracts in eastern Alachua County, Florida showing the use of low impact, low cost, ecologically beneficial methods for reforestation and management by small land owners. The affairs of the land trust are directed by a board of trustees.
